Your Impact at SAM

The UAS SPM is responsible for driving business growth and development initiatives within the Geospatial business unit. The candidate will be required to possess a combination of technical expertise, strategic planning, and effective communication skills to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and execute programs that drive revenue and market expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines governing the use of UAS. Ensure that all business development activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to expand the Geospatial UAS business, including identifying new markets, clients, and partnerships. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and potential clients.

  • Client Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and partners, managing relationships and addressing any issues or concerns. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling UAS products and services.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct extensive research in the market to identify trends, opportunities, and potential competitors in the UAS industry. Analyze market data to develop strategies for market penetration and growth.

  • Program Management: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of UAS business development programs and initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and key insights to senior management. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and optimize business development strategies.

What You Bring to SAM

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial is required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in business development, program management, or a related field, preferably within the UAS industry and knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to UAS operations.

  • Strong understanding of UAS technology, applications, and market dynamics and proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and attend industry events.
