General description Join the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company as an Investment Analyst! Work involves performing highly advanced (senior-level) fundamental investment research and analysis work across asset classes, including public and private fixed income, public and private equity, real assets, and various alternative investment strategies. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in finance, accounting, mathematics, business administration, or a related field. At least three years of experience in investment research, analysis, or consulting. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred MBA, JD, or other graduate degree. Substitution: One additional year of experience working in investment research, analysis, or consulting may substitute for each year (30 semester hours) of the required education with a maximum of 120 semester hours (four years). Certifications: The following certifications are preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Qualifications: In this role, your responsibilities will include: General Duties Responsibilities: Monitors, researches and analyzes assigned geographic regions, economic sectors, and strategies for investment management decisions. Maintains documentation supportinginvestment recommendations and provides written and oral analysis as requested. Participates in group discussions regarding potential impact on portfolios. Prepares reports and assists Portfolio Managers and CIO with special projects. Reads industry specific, macroeconomic, microeconomic, financial, general business, and geopolitical research analysis. Participates in internal and/or external training and development opportunities. Specific Duties Responsibilities: Maintains and updates information held in internal systems and databases. Screens, evaluates, and performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of prospective asset managers, strategies and funds. Assists Portfolio Managers and CIO in development of opportunistic and strategic investment themes and pla s. Performs and evaluates quantitative and qualitative information of existing managers and strategies. Prepares detailed and summary reports and analysis for internal and external presentations.
