Actalent Travelling Superintendent in Austin, Texas

Travelling Superintendent needed for a mechanical contractor who specializes in conveyor systems. We do a lot of work in automotive manufacturers building out conveyors to move car parts. We need someone who has experience building conveyor systems, overhead conveyor systems is a plus.

Description:

Body & Assembly Automation projects

· Powertrain Automation projects

· OEM installation projects

· Structural steel and mezzanine design, manufacture and installation

· Conveyor design, manufacture and installation

· Mechanical & Electrical installation

· Equipment Relocation (Rigging & Millwright Projects)

· On-site technical services

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

· Ensure tools and equipment are prepared before project start.

· Operate mobile powered equipment such as cranes, fork-lifts, etc.

· Lead and direct onsite mechanical work crew to perform industrial installations,

demolitions, and relocations.

· Ensure that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards.

· Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met

· Development, procurement, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures

· Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail

correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues

· Implement incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively attended to
