Job Title: Test Technician

Job Description

The Test Technician is responsible for conducting leak checks and functional tests on custom electro-mechanical equipment. This role involves performing testing and troubleshooting on general electronic, electro-mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and machines to fulfill the production schedule. The technician will explain test results and schedules to team members, leads, or supervisors, and provide input on improvement opportunities. Duties also include maintaining adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures, performing both manual and automated system-level tests to ensure product quality and reliability, and documenting actions and needs within the project team.

Hard Skills

  • Electronic testing and troubleshooting

  • Leak test with Helium

  • Final test and failure analysis

  • Understanding of blueprints and schematics

Soft Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Providing recommendations based on data and observations

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas.

Work Environment

This position is available for various shifts including 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) and weekend nights (Thurs-Sun 4pm-2:30am, Sat-Tues 4pm-2:30am). The work environment is professional and team-oriented within a manufacturing setting. The role involves physical activities such as climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs. Technicians are required to wear personal protective equipment and may be exposed to hazards such as electrical currents and chemicals.
