Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Product Responsibilities:

  1. Understand product requirements and user problems, translate the user requirements into proper system design.

  2. Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to implement new products integrating with existing Meta products and infrastructures.

  3. Lead engineering activities with strong sense of timeline and business priorities.

  4. Make tradeoffs and adjust expectations during executions.

  5. Collaborate across multiple functions (program manager, designer, researcher, data scientist, etc.).

  6. Design and build end to end solution across multiple tech stacks (mobile, web, services, etc.).

  7. Design and build products with global mindset and understanding of the differences among local markets.

  8. Develop, design, create, modify, and/or test software applications or systems for various products or software services.

  9. Develop a strong understanding of relevant product area, codebase, and/or systems.

  10. Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, programming, and software engineering.

  11. Produce high-quality code with good test coverage using modern abstractions and frameworks.

  12. May be assigned to specific group focused on product or infrastructure.

  13. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  14. Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  15. Work independently, use available resources to get unblocked, and complete tasks on schedule by exercising strong judgment and problem solving skills.

  16. Master internal development standards from developing to releasing code in order to take on tasks and projects with increasing levels of complexity.

    1. Coding in at least one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#
    1. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
    1. Relational databases and SQL
    1. Conducting design and code reviews.

$182,608/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
