    JOB SUMMARY:

    As a Site Superintendent, no two days are the same! A typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  • Providing training and direction, with patience and grace, to volunteers, AmeriCorps, and partner families on building techniques and daily tasks.

  • Maintaining site safety through safe practices, documentation and ensure that all volunteers, partner families, and staff comply with worksite safety measures.

  • Performing “Final Walkthrough” with Homeowner and complete “Final Walkthrough” punch list within two weeks of walkthrough.

  • Hands on learning in Residential Construction

  • Predictable work hours.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A valid Texas Driver’s License and current automotive liability insurance

  • At least 2 years of direct construction experience is preferred 

  • Must be able to work with volunteers, skilled and non-skilled workers with a positive and compassionate attitude.

  • General understanding of building trades, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and how each impacts the other.

  • Comfortable with public speaking to groups of about 30 people.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.

    COMPENSATION

  • $46,500 commensurate with education and experience
