Description

Amazon Currency Conversion team is looking for a strategic-thinker with hands-on expertise in developing world-class product and marketing experiences that delight customers. We are continuously adding new market-leading features and product innovations.

You are a creative wizard with 5+ years of experience in the design and production of world-class brands that people desire and use every day. You are an organized self-starter that can deal with ambiguity, competing priorities, and are always on the lookout for ways to improve the customer experience. You are methodical in scaling design across multiple partners and iterating on process for efficiency. You are an excellent collaborator and have no problem presenting–and defending–your ideas to other designers, product and marketing managers, and company leaders.

You are a visual master of your process and craft and are capable of designing inspiring content and campaigns that captivate audiences worldwide. Above all, you are passionate about solving real problems for real people through research, design, and iteration. You will work with members of the design, product marketing, and marketing teams to create experiences that are engaging, useful, and solution-oriented. You will apply customer data and insights to tailor your designs to customer’s needs and pain points.

You’ve set the standard for design and production solutions with your world-class design talent, command of visual principles, masterful typographic skills, and keen attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of design experience

  • An available online portfolio

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience owning the UX design of complex workflows for technical customers and/or experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.

  • Experience in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.

  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps.

  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.

  • Experience working in a collaborative, diverse team, working directly with developers for implementation of designs.

  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
