We are looking to add aSenior Strategic Communications Specialistto our team. If you enjoy working in a startup environment and are passionate about satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems, we would like to hear from you.

In this position, you will provide organizational and corporate communications consulting to organizational leaders, members, and stakeholders. This will include assisting with the development of briefings, creating talking points and key messages, and writing articles or newsletters. You will also perform baseline assessments, design a communication approach, develop products and vehicles, create and implement a communication plan, and evaluate plans and make recommendations, as needed.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- - Lead the creation and roll-out our company narrative across all external and internal comms channels. - Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with business objectives. - Drive the creation of compelling messaging that supports our business areas and key themes. - Understand the communications landscape and needs of various audiences, regularly evolving to reflect changes to business priorities. - Proactively engage with media outlets to secure positive coverage and manage the company's reputation. - Create compelling content, including press releases, blog posts, and other written materials. - Support executive leadership in crafting speeches, presentations, and other communication materials. - Provide media training for executives to enhance their communication skills. - Ensure alignment and consistency of communication strategies and messaging with the marketing team. - Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and industry influencers. - Lead execution and evolution of all internal communication channels and tools to ensure employees are informed and engaged. - Partner with Human Resources to evolve our employer brand. - Develop and implement crisis communication plans, providing timely and transparent communication during challenging situations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field from an accredited university or college. - 10-12 years of experience in global corporate communications or related roles including speech writing, crafting press releases and other highly visible communications pieces. - Significant media relations experience including a broad range of media outlets. - Strong people leadership with a consistent track record of building and developing high-performing communications organizations. - Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional partnerships with teams such as marketing, engineering, sales, human resources, operations, etc. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Crisis communication experience. - A passion and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and familiarity with the Aerospace industry and trends. - Experience in, and/or a willingness to operate in, fast-paced startup environment.
