Amazon Senior Program Manager, Central Ops Capacity Planning in Austin, Texas

Description

Amazon seeks a Senior Program Manager to drive new initiatives and program launches for the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) North America Central Operations Team. The Senior Program Manager will be a key member of strategic initiatives that will continue to improve last-mile demand planning processes to scale for rapidly increasing volume and complexity.

Specifically, this role will support process development and optimization of intraweek planning (forecasting, scheduling, capacity management) for emerging business lines such as Amazon Shipping.

*This role requires travel up to 15% of the quarter.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives that will improve last-mile processes around forecasting and demand planning

  • Create and present a roadmap that aligns with Amazon’s strategic objectives with regional leadership

  • Analyze root cause and determine long-term solutions

  • Drive action based on analytical, mathematical, and quantitative data.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  • Experience with data analytics tools and comfortable using/building SQL queries.
