As part of a grants and contracts support team, provide pre- and post-award grant and contract support for the Jackson School of Geosciences Associate Dean for Research (JSG ADR) and the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS). Grant support activities include developing research submission processes; creating detailed budgets; drafting, formatting and editing proposal documents; developing processing that improve efficiencies of processes; acting as liaison with the Office of Sponsored Projects and other research support offices on campus; and ensuring accurate and timely submission to sponsors.Work with JSG ADR and select teams of faculty across JSG to prepare, develop and submit high-priority grant and contract proposals to sponsoring agencies and organizations. Proposals could include complex training, multiple-investigator,and center-style grant applications.Work with the JSG ADR to develop School-wide policies and programs to comply with regulations affecting research grants and contracts. Maintain up-to-date information on the offices website and develop best practices guidelines for pre- and post-award grants management, to be shared with unit research administrators.Provide backup pre- and post-award support to Sr. Grants and Contracts Specialists in JSG affiliated units and centers.Coordinate with EPS Department Chair, JSG ADR and the JSG Chief Business Officer to maintain the offices annual budget, track commitments, and financial reporting to the Deans Office.
