Create and update written standard operating procedures and/or presentations for primary and backup tasks. Examine, recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency in financial operations. Participate in training coworkers or new employees related to tasks performed. Participate in training to acquire new knowledge and skills. Integrate and apply knowledge and skills in new or unfamiliar situations.Monitor budget vs. actual results for departmental accounts on a monthly basis and recommend budget revisions when needed.Use available electronic applications, databases, queries, financial and personnel reports to gather and organize data to evaluate and analyze results. Present conclusions, concerns and recommended solutions of analysis.Analyze rate proposals together with supporting financial statements and detailed cost data for the purposes of establishing appropriate rates used in charging departmental accounts including grants.Prepare the five-year simulation template and supporting workpapers (budget, actuals, transfers, positions) to assess the overall financial health of a department, non-academic unit, college or school.Produce various management reports to meet established deadlines.
