Our Customer Data and Management technology group is seeking a hardworking Scrum Master to join the team. As a Scrum Master, your role will be to enable dedicated teams to deliver business value through their development and delivery execution. This is an exciting chance to use your aptitude, attitude and energy to be a part of a team that impacts our customer base daily, as well as the future direction not only within the team, but also across multiple technology organizations.

What you are good at

Supporting agile based SDLC crafting vital standards, tools and best practices. Participating and supporting development and software delivery. This may include the following:

  • Act as servant leader for the team, enabling them to unfold their fullest potential and abilities

  • Model the behaviors of an Agile leader and help teams self-organize using agile principles and practices to meet their delivery objectives.

  • Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition, and sizing

  • Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team's ability to deliver against their commitments.

  • Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially releasable

  • Assure productivity of the scrum teams

  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other sprint-related meetings

  • Guide teammates to practice the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility

  • Work collaboratively as a team player to develop mutually acceptable solutions, define team agreements and maintain process documentation

  • Communicate, build rapport and interact with multiple stakeholders, including product and technical team members

  • Create information radiators and sprint-based metrics to help the team and stakeholders understand their progress

  • Interface and influence distributed stakeholders (within the continental US and/or offshore if needed)

  • Participate in the organization and planning of the development schedule with identifiable platform dependencies, and major milestones

What you have

Required Skills:

  • Must bring a positive presence to the team with the ability to influence and negotiate

  • Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills

  • 4+ years (minimum) experience leading technical teams in delivering high quality digital solutions with Java-based applications

  • Experience with SDLC Agile practices and leading complex product delivery in a large cross functional organization to deliver with a consistent or increasing velocity

  • 2-3 years of experience facilitating the scrum practices (leading ceremonies, empowering teams, identifying coaching opportunities)

  • High level of computer literacy; ability to learn new tools and products quickly

  • Understanding and experience with broad technical skills across multiple domains (Technology, Information, Process, Applications, etc.) and platforms (mainframe, client-server, web-based, etc.)

Preferred skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master (strongly preferred)

  • Experience with both Kanban and Scrum methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence multiple levels in the organization

  • A skilled facilitator that is creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems

  • Experience with the Atlassian suite of products
