Assist Bureau research staff, commercial customers, students, faculty and the public with inquiries about geophysical well logs and geological materials. Customer service functions such as answering e-mails and phone calls, filing GLF orders, and preparing invoices. Data entry, verification and correction of existing data, scanning paper logs, report generation, and organization of materials. Maintain files for the GLF, organize the storage, filing and retrieval of geological materials. Open and maintain the physical store space; open and process the online and walk-in Bureau Store Orders. Check email and postal mail for orders; prepare and ship orders. Resolve customer issues. Administrative functions such as preparation of reports, correspondence, making copies and ordering supplies. Using Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and maintain work areas. Greet Resource Center visitors and assist the front desk where needed.Refer technical questions to the Information Geologist or Resource Center Specialist. Assist the Information Geologist with various publication-related tasks and occasional outreach events.Occasional travel.
