The Quality Assurance (QA) Architect at Austin Capital Bank is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the QA landscape within ACB, suggesting and implementing enhancements as per the organization’s needs. This includes developing, maintaining, and executing test plans for functional, mobile, performance and automation testing. This role demands hands on validation with need of exposure to Functional, Automation and Performance testing.

    Responsibilities and Duties

  • Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide technical expertise and support in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications. Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results. The test cases would include UI, API, Batch Job and Database validation.

  • Exposure and hands-on background in software test automation

  • Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs found during testing. Work closely with development and product teams to ensure defects are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance testing strategies, tools, and processes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, product management, and customer support teams to understand product requirements, resolve quality issues, and ensure that quality goals are met.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate them to management.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Develop quality assurance metrics and reports to monitor QA effectiveness, and ensure proper documentation of test plans, test cases, and test outcomes.

  • Test Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust test frameworks and tools that support diverse testing strategies, including integration, end to end, performance, and security testing.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that software products comply with industry standards and regulations. Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

    Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in Software Engineering roles

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally to drive impact across the SDLC, including working with Business Analysts to clarify requirements and break down work, reviewing production code written by others, assisting with design for testability, and using data to drive decisions about impact and rate of investment of test code.

  • Hands on exposure to Performance and Automation testing is preferred along with functional testing

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
