Microsoft Corporation Network Senior Program Manager in Austin, Texas

Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Sustainability and Security organization. We are looking for an experienced Network Senior Program Manager to deliver strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts with the highest impact to the organization, our partners, and suppliers. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, business leads, IT, and architecture leads to ensure that business outcomes are prioritized and successfully delivered. This role requires communication and change management skills to drive, integrate, and sustain process and system transformations across the organization and our supplier network, onboarding them to new processes, systems, and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to effectively program manage initiatives, ensuring efficiency and optimization throughout the process.

  • Cultivate relationships, build consensus, collaborate across teams, coordinate multiple timelines, and manage complex, cross discipline projects, address roadblocks, and deliver sustainable solutions

  • Oversee projects from conception to implementation, including the development of business requirements, process mapping, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

  • Develop and drive the future state capabilities and systems roadmap, clearly articulating the business impact and success metrics associated with each initiative.

  • Ensure readiness and preparedness for process, tools, and system changes among our people, suppliers, and partners.

  • Define and facilitate data policies, processes, and governance to ensure the integrity and reliability of sourcing information.

  • Benchmark industry practices, gather outside-in perspectives and market intelligence, and apply insights to improve Microsoft Cloud Supply Chain operations.

  • Develop and present business case justifications for capital, program resources, and technology investments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Define a robust project governance framework, encompassing portfolio planning, prioritization, and risk management to ensure successful project execution.

  • Monitor and report on the performance of initiatives, including key metrics and KPIs, to track progress and ensure accountability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programmingo OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programmingo OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience in Supply Chain Development, Execution and Experience leading process and system transformation

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Possess functional expertise and hands-on experience in supply chain management, encompassing sourcing, planning, and execution processes

  • Familiarity with prevalent industry methodologies, processes, and tools utilized in business roadmap management, ROI (Return On Investment) realization, and OKR (Objectives and Key Results) development

  • Possess executive-level communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for clear understanding

  • Demonstrate business and finance acumen, with the ability to think strategize strategically

  • Demonstrate proficiency in communication, interpersonal relations, and presentation skills

  • Capable of distilling complex concepts into engaging content accessible to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrate adept critical thinking skills and the capacity to navigate and resolve ambiguous situations effectively

Technical Solution Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
