Overall performance standard: all activities to be conducted in a professional, courteous, pleasant manner. Assist supervisor with daily shop operations, including paperwork, purchasing, inventory control, and safety training. Safely operate all departmental equipment. Keep accurate records for billing purposes. Perform general office duties, answer phones, log complaints, take scheduled construction project information, record keeping, filing, scheduling. Assist with other duties by supervisor and/or manager.Check garages for cleanliness on a weekly basis. Be familiar with all PTS and UTPD policies and apply them in field. Act independently and make decisions when supervisor unavailable. In depth knowledge of campus critical to assignment work areas. Must organize a great deal of information and report it accurately either verbally or in writing.Assist all outside special events. Placement and removal of signs, barricades and cables. Customer service and willingness to help others in all situations is a priority. Responsive to needs of the UT community. Communicate effectively with both verbal and written skills. Special projects as assigned. Complete all tasks as assigned and in a timely, efficient manner.Perform other related duties as assigned.
