Create English language articles for publishing and translate Spanish or Portuguese language articles for English-speaking consumers. Oversee and collaborate with LJRs global team of writers and freelancers by assigning and editing stories, ensuring deadlines are met, and creating an editorial calendar.Create a weekly trilingual LatAm Journalism Review newsletter promoting LJR content and Knight Center news. Prepare content for the newsletter and think strategically and creatively about how to improve its overall design, reach, and impact.Oversee, edit, write, translate, and curate online news stories related to journalism and press freedom for a daily, trilingual news monitor.Help promote LJR content on the Knight Center's social media accounts.Coordinate special editorial projects for LJR, including content for grant-funded projects, and ensure that the content meets expectations and requirements.Assist the Knight Center in seeking funding for LJR and its special projects.Assist the team with editing, writing, and translating content for the Knight Centers other websites JournalismCourses.org, KnightCenter.utexas.edu, and ISOJ.org.Other related functions as assigned.
