Provide ongoing monitoring of grant progress and post-award issues such as effort reporting, no-cost extensions, progress reports, grants close-outs, etc. Reconcile accounts and assist PIs with account maintenance. Provide assistance to faculty with their accounts and moving funds for student assignments. This includes budget analysis, projections, project staffing appointments, and budgetary reallocation as necessary. Produce monthly financial and cost share reports.Serve as a liaison between faculty, relevant UT offices, and sponsoring agencies. Exercise sound decision-making and problem solving, including interpreting University procedures and applying appropriate regulations when necessary. Maintain lines of communication with all stakeholders to streamline grant processes and reduce faculty administrative burden. Refer faculty to appropriate offices and personnel for specialized issues such as intellectual property, industry relations, etc.Monitor and help identify problem research accounts and explore solutions that are within funding guidelines. Review HR assignment funding to ensure that funding is appropriate. Coordinate HR assignment funding with appropriate staff to ensure grant and contract compliance.Provide comprehensive support in the preparation of research proposals and coordinate with the Cockrell School proposal submission team. Edit proposal documents, ensure that university and sponsor requirements and deadlines are met. Assist faculty with internal and sponsor forms and tools such as Cayuse 424, Grants.gov, Fastlane, etc. Act as liaison between faculty and the Office of Sponsored Projects. Stay abreast of current funding opportunities.Other related functions as assigned.
