Job Description: Field Service Technician Supervisor

Austin Location: 2201 Denton Dr. Austin, TX, 78758

Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 DOE

Position Summary: RAM Windows is seeking an experienced and hands-on Field Service Technician Supervisor to lead a team of technicians responsible for servicing and repairing windows and doors at customer job sites in the Austin, TX areas. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient field operations and oversee warehouse functions related to servicing, repairs, inventory, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of Field Service Technicians in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of windows and doors.

  • Coordinate and schedule service calls, ensuring timely and efficient responses to customer needs.

  • Troubleshoot and report findings on problem installations to managers and sales representatives.

  • Inspect and ensure proper operation of window sashes, adjusting or installing new balance rods as needed.

  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with customers, providing high-quality customer service.

  • Manage the team's calendar, ensuring proper scheduling of appointments and daily demands.

  • Perform quality checks of completed Service Tickets and maintain a high level of service quality.

  • Supervise warehouse operational functions, including loading and unloading materials, inventory management, and ensuring a secure and effective operation.

  • Assist with deliveries in the field and perform service-related tasks.

  • Conduct warehouse, office, and yard clean-up duties, adhering to safety procedures.

  • Verify all vendor receiving and loading documents and assign stocking locations to received materials.

  • Demonstrate the ability to perform window mulling, twinning, shop glazing, and frame assemblies.

  • Experience with or familiarity with servicing various window and door product brands, including RAM Windows, Sierra Pacific, PlyGem, LaCantina, and others.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 2-4 years of related experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.

  • Building, construction, contractor knowledge preferred; able to work in warehouse and on jobsites.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

  • Valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record (MVR).

  • Excellent organizational, social, and customer-focused skills.

  • Computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize servicing needs.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs and 100 lbs with some assistance.

  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

  • Attention-to-detail and commitment to high-quality standards.

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 lbs and 100 lbs with some assistance.

  • Use fingers and hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, hand-eye coordination.

  • Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
