Fedcap Executive Director– Easterseals Lonestar in Austin, Texas

What You’ll Do

As Executive Director of Easterseals Lonestar (ESLS), you’ll lead a capable and dedicated team of 125 providing services to over 8500 children and adults challenged by a variety of disabilities including autism; developmental and learning delays; speech, language and hearing disorders; sensory processing disorders; mental illness, stroke; head trauma; amputation; spinal cord injury; polio, cerebral palsy; spina bifida; and muscular dystrophy as well as various genetic disorders with high risks for developmental delay. You’ll oversee services focused on multiple areas of care that create successful outcomes for clients from birth to advanced age: outpatient medical rehabilitation, workforce development, and community and housing services.

You will be joining ESLS at a pivotal period marked by great institutional opportunity, need, and positive momentum from a programming, reputation, and historical community standpoint. Leveraging the existing strengths in place while propelling the organization forward, you will play a critical role in enhancing the visibility and support for this outstanding service provider that has been helping families live with dignity, respect, and independence since 1937.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure delivery on the ESLS mission.

  • Driving the formulation of strategic growth plans, setting ambitious targets, and guiding the organization in achieving its mission and business objectives.

  • Growing top line revenue, establishing innovative sources of income, and driving sustainable growth.

  • Articulating the vision, mission, and work to all community, current, and potential funders to expand overall reach and ensure that a sustainable funding model is in place.

  • Maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities in multiple geographic areas: Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, Temple, Greater Austin, Corpus Christi, Lubbock, Midland/Odessa, Longview/Tyler, and El Paso.

  • Building and sustaining effective relationships with key local constituencies including local associations, peer organizations, government agencies, funding sources, and the media.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience as the leader (or Number 2) for a nonprofit organization serving a similar population with a budget of at least $15 million and a track record of significant growth.

  • Experience negotiating and managing government contracts.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to relate and engage with staff, leadership team, supporters, colleagues, and Board members. ·
