UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Enterprise Network Engineer III in Austin, Texas

Design, build, and operate systems and processes to improve the universitys enterprise wireless network operations, security, and resilience.Understand end-user needs and create technical solutions utilizing wireless network technologies for classrooms, RandD labs, and event venues.Evaluate new network technologies, conduct proof of concept implementations, create run book definitions, and lead pilot deployments.Collaborate with extended network team to anticipate technological changes and automate infrastructure deployment, fault detection, standardized operations, and life cycle management.Collaborate on new building and renovation constructions projects.Provide escalation support for complex network designs, troubleshooting, and after-hours on-call support. Driving university owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this position. Maintain acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157.Other related functions as assigned.
