Meta Corporate Accounting Manager in Austin, Texas

Summary:

Meta is seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This is a full-time position on our Global Payroll & Benefits Accounting pillar, within our Corporate Accounting team. The successful candidate will be a dynamic accounting professional who is passionate about innovative technologies that can scale our payroll accounting processes and help enable effective decision-making through insights. You will be experienced in financial accounting and reporting with a strong controls mindset. Required Skills:

Corporate Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Work as part of the Global Payroll & Benefits Accounting pillar, within Corporate Accounting, with responsibility for key financial reporting areas (P&L and BS)

  2. Ensure an accurate and timely month end close by providing management and support to the accounting close process. This role includes serving as a hands-on team member responsible for performing and reviewing accounting transactions including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis.

  3. Help define and implement scalable accounting processes related to month-end and quarter-end financial close

  4. Contribute to the quarterly SEC reporting cycle

  5. Coordinate and review the work of our outsourced partners

  6. Partner with our global team to optimize worldwide processes, systems & controls

  7. Lead projects to identify, design, test and roll-out new financial reporting systems and tools

  8. Ensure compliance with key controls and audit requirements, and provide accounting support to our statutory compliance teams

  9. Create strong business partnerships and manage service levels with third party service providers

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields

  2. Recognized accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

  3. 4+ years of accounting experience, including relevant experience within the payroll / benefits accounting function of a large organization

  4. Effective computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (experience with Oracle ERP and/or Hyperion Essbase is an advantage)

  5. Team player and leader who is very experienced working as part of a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations

  6. Effective planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  7. Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the 'big picture' and the importance of risk mitigation and an effective controls environment, including data privacy

  8. Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement

Public Compensation:

$113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
