Are you a Content Developer or Technical Writer passionate about creating valuable content for millions of customers? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where the ability to think on your feet is valued?

Amazon is changing what customers expect from technical support for all Amazon devices and digital services, from Kindle and Echo to Prime Video and Amazon Music. Amazon’s Device, Digital, and Alexa Support (D2AS) team needs a content developer to create high-profile customer-facing content and internal guidance.

In this role you will:

  • Develop troubleshooting guides, how-tos, FAQs, release notes, and other documentation accessed by millions of customers globally

  • Build and leverage strong relationships with multiple stakeholders to deliver complex, global projects

  • Drive content projects from planning through post-launch analytics

  • Improve content quality, maintainability, and usability

  • Identify and implement strategies to increase team efficiency

  • Continuously analyze metrics to assess and improve customer experience

About the team

Our content team supports millions of customers across the popular Amazon products Kindle and Fire Tablets. We create scalable support content while maintaining Amazon's standard of world-class customer service. Using data and direct customer feedback, we continuously improve our content and to meet evolving needs.

Closely partnering with program managers, localization experts, associate trainers and more, we translate technical specifications into intuitive customer-facing content. We also collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, legal, PR and product teams to develop content that delivers an exceptional experience from purchase to technical support.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data mining

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
