Job Description

Come join our dynamic Compensation Team at Whole Foods Market! We have an exciting opportunity for a Compensation Analyst who will support Compensation programs across our Retail Stores, Store Support (Corporate), and Non-Retail Facilitie s . We a re seeking a highly motivated individual who is analytical and has great attention for detail. This position is responsible for partnering with the internal Compensation team as well as HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to provide valuable research and analytics in support of compensation decisions. This hybrid position is based in Austin, TX and requires at least three (3) days per week in the office. R eloca tion isn't available for this position .

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the design and development of compensation programs and projects.

  • Performs the full scope of activities associated with development and administration of legally compliant compensation programs.

  • Assists with assessment of external compensation trends, surveys, and reports to determine the company’s competitive position.

  • Consults with and advises TMS (Team Member Services) on compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job description / evaluation, and other compensation projects and initiatives.

  • Provides operational support in one or more of the following areas, as described below:

    Base Compensation

  • Researches, analyzes, and administers pay programs and processes.

  • Reviews new positions in anticipation of recruitment to ensure proper classification.

  • Adjusts jobs and / or pay levels to identify and resolve issues associated with reorganization, contractual change, and other events impacting base compensation and internal equity.

  • Counsels Team Leaders and Team Members on potentially sensitive compensation questions and issues.

    Stock Administration

  • Supports coordination of annual grant program scope and implementation.

  • Engages with stock administration vendors and service providers to ensure effective share and grant estimation and delivery.

  • Communicates with impacted parties about restrictions pertaining to the insider stock trading window.

    Compensation Systems

  • Updates and maintains current and accurate information in compensation information systems.

  • Supports compensation audit initiatives.

  • Ensures new equipment is installed, tested, and applied according to design / output specifications.

    Skills & Experience :

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Working knowledge of compensation practices and systems.

  • Ability to perform job design and analysis.

  • Working knowledge of HRIS (Workday or similar) and compensation information ( MarketPay or similar) systems.

  • Facilitates the resolution of emerging transactional issues.

  • Demonstrates good knowledge of statistics, research methods, measurement concepts, and metrics.

  • Engages in preliminary analysis of collected data and reports findings to senior TMS Team Members / Team Leaders.

  • Works effectively with others, in groups, in cross-functional settings, and with diverse stakeholders internally and externally.

  • Displays strong levels of customer service, accuracy and attention to detail.
