Manages media inquiry process with the support of Associate Dean of Students, including preparing statements, drafting talking points, and scheduling interviews.Coordinates print, electronic, and social media initiatives and outreach efforts for external and internal communications. These efforts include messaging, press releases, publications, collateral, photography, promotional plans, graphic design, videos, and event marketing. Ensures consistency with department and University branding. Reviews, revises and finalizes copy and design for digital and print materials.Directly supervises the three full-time staff in the communications area that work on web design and webpage management, graphic design, and social media and indirectly supervises the student staff. Supervision includes selection, training, evaluation, and professional development.Serves as liaison with UT Marketing and Communications and other campus communications staff to manage electronic and print projects.Leads communications efforts with DOS leadership team, including leading communication team meetings and divisional working groups as needed. Manages department promotional item orders.
