Prepare and/or serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees or teas, and baked goods according to standard recipes and requested customization. Acknowledges and greets customers with enthusiasm while offering excellent customer service. Suggestively sell items and be knowledgeable of current specials and promotions. Have concise menu and product knowledge. Take initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.Check temperatures of food, freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. Follow all food, physical safety, and sanitation guidelines set for by UHD. Properly label and store all perishable food. Practice proper glove and hand-washing procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist supervisors with training of new staff. Maintain productivity by utilizing time management skills. Accurately enter and process all hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees or teas, and baked goods according to standard recipes and requested customized transactions in Micros, a point-of-sale system. Correctly handle monetary funds, reconcile daily reports, and complete opening and closing documents. Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and stocking of supplies/retail products. Complete daily service records.
