House of Blues C3 Presents - Associate Marketing Manager in Austin, Texas

Job Summary:

The Associate Festival Marketing Manager supports the C3 Festival Marketing Department’s overall marketing and administrative tasks. Their main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, management of invoices and expenses, contest winner communication and prize fulfillment, social support, digital support (focusing on website, e-mail & SMS marketing) for major milestones & announcements, coordinating with our in-house creative team on content production and supporting on-site at our festivals with social media and production set up.

This Associate Festival Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the designated Festival Marketing Manager to support all major announcements and drive towards our main goal of selling out their specific festivals, including Lollapalooza, Gov Ball, Two Step Inn and more. They will contribute to the overall goal to keep the team organized and efficient, while also providing support for the designated Festival Marketing Manager.

This role requires someone who is focused, highly organized, and able to continually prioritize while balancing multiple projects. Experience with overall marketing strategy and budget management is important, along with an attention, eye for detail, and creative thinking.

The ideal candidate has a passion for music, live events, popular culture, and media trends. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work quickly and efficiently while having a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and update budgets for designated festivals in Microsoft Excel and our internal budget management platform

  • Submit and monitor expenses and invoices in internal budget management platform

  • Coordinate contest winner communication and prize fulfillment

  • Manage Media Partner wristband fulfillment and shipment for each festival

  • Manage marketing channels through various platforms including Sprout Social (preferred), Webflow, Mailchimp, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, Snapchat, TikTok, Meta Ads Manager

  • Website management – utilizing Webflow platform

  • Coordinate with creative team on copywriting and asset production

  • Work through approval process communications with marketing manager and festival execs, when necessary

  • Assist with on-site logistics at festivals, including Press Lounge set up, social media marketing, giveaway winner prize fulfillment and media partner support

  • Assist with simple graphic design tasks via PhotoShop or InDesign a plus (for website and email marketing)

  • This role requires out-of-state travel

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in digital, marketing, social media, event production, festivals, tech and/or design

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, takes initiative and fast learner

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and budgeting platforms

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing platforms, including Webflow, Mailchimp, Attentive, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Meta Ads Manager

  • Experience with Sprout Social is not a requirement, but preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus

  • Basic knowledge of video editing for social media content a plus

  • Basic knowledge of event production & logistics

  • Hard working, able to take direction and prioritize while juggling multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Resourceful and detail-oriented

  • Not afraid to ask for help

  • Strong communication skills

  • Willing to step up and help with tasks outside of their job description

  • Available outside of typical work hours for festival-related work
