In this position…

Ford ION Park is seeking a highly motivated experienced candidates for Battery Cell Raw Materials Engineer professional to join the Value Chain team. The team is composed of Technical Experts, Managers and Quality Engineers who lead different areas of the battery manufacturing. What you'll do…

  • Oversee and coordinate the development of projects with battery raw material suppliers to ensure the technical and quality progress and overall risk is aligned with the sourcing objectives.

  • Engage in battery raw materials (Lithium, Nickel and others) selection and evaluation of mining and refining/processing sources. Support supplier development to meet Ford objectives.

  • Support APQP, PPAP and site visits related to raw materials engineering, quality, and industrialization.

  • Review and assess evolving next generation materials and processing development.

  • Build relationships among internal and external organizations for effective cross-functional operation.

  • Review technical data with cross functional teams.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining, Materials Science or Engineering, or related fields.

  • 2+ years of analysis experience in supply value chain, or Site STA/Quality

  • 1+ years of LIB materials or related metals experience from raw material ore, metal refining and processes for battery raw materials.

  • Ability to multi-task with cross-functional teams.

Even better, you may have…

  • 4+ years hands-on experience desired. Extraction Metallurgical/Mineral Processing Engineering skills a plus.

  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 .
