Description

Purpose

Optimizing systems and processes as well their execution is crucial to delight our customers and ensure strong business relationships.

In the direction to digitalize and build a data driven SPSC and pursuing the A4E (Accuracy for Efficiency) application roadmap started back in August 2021, in 2024 will be going-live two major regional initiatives:

Sourcing Plan

Optimizer

  • A4E (Accuracy for Efficiency) - Plant Scheduling.

  • The A4E platform will have the goal to harmonize and streamline Operations Planning and Execution among the European plants increasing efficiency and transparency.

The Business Data Consultant will play a strategic role in ensuring that deployment, user training and support are done timely keeping business continuity.

In collaboration with A4E BPE and SME He/She will play a key role in performing trouble shooting and working close with the developers to define and test bug fix and enhancements.

In this role, he/she will as well support and influence data science analysis collaborating with Global Data Science team and regional SPSC teams, with main focus on Sourcing Plan Optimizer, Batch Quality and Inventory leveraging his knowledge to bring within the team the most up to date technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities

A4E

  • Provide support to A4E and A4E-Plant Scheduling tool Users

  • Own Sourcing Plan Optimizer Management and update

  • Collaborate with A4E BPEs and Developers defining and testing bug-fix and enhancements

  • Collaborate with Business Data Stewards in implementing Data Science analytics

     Data Science:

Apply statistical analysis and data modeling to gain actionable business insights in the areas of:

  • Operation Planning

  • Sourcing planning

  • Batch Quality

  • Inventory

Develop, validate, and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.

Manage and process large datasets to identify trends and patterns.

Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling.

Present and explain complex concepts and results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of machine learning models, data mining, and statistical analysis tools.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as python, R or ML principles

  • Experience with databases and SQL.

  • Strong experience in implementing and understanding operations optimization tools

  • Being familiar with ETL tools such as Alteryx, Dremio, Tableau Prep

  • Being familiar with reporting and data visualization tools as Tableau, Power BI

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or BW and IBP is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Visual Studio

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entity Framework, Apsx.net and VB technologies

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and present insights.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability and comfort working with large and complex datasets.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.

  • Ability to prioritize work, work under time constraints and under pressure.

  • Ability to work in an office environment and/or travel as required.

  • Ability and experience in a highly international work environment.

  • Ability to influence and motivate across functions and reporting lines.

  • Customer orientation.

  • Strong communications skills, both written & verbal.

  • Fluency in English. One additional relevant language preferred.
