Description

The purpose of this position is optimizing systems and processes as well their execution as crucial step to delight our customers and ensure strong business relationships.

In the direction to digitalize and build a data driven SPSC (Seed Production & Supply Chain) and pursuing the A4E (Accuracy for Efficiency) application roadmap started back in August 2021, in 2024 will be going-live two major regional initiatives:

  • Sourcing Plan Optimizer

  • A4E (Accuracy for Efficiency) - Plant Scheduling.

The A4E platform will have the goal to harmonize and streamline Operations Planning and Execution among the European plants increasing efficiency and transparency.

Collaborating with A4E BPE and SME, the Business Data Consultant will play a strategic role in ensuring that development, deployment, user training, support and documentation are done timely keeping business continuity.

The Business Data Consultant will report to Operations Planning and System Leader and the position can be based in any Corteva Seed Production Site (FR, IT, RO, AT, HU, TR, UA).

Main Responsibilities

  • Integration Design and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data integration needs, and design integration solutions that facilitate the seamless exchange of data between internal and external systems, platforms, and data sources.

  • Data Mapping and Transformation: Perform data mapping, transformation, and modeling activities to ensure compatibility and consistency of data formats, structures, and semantics across integrated systems, adhering to data governance standards and best practices.

  • Integration Development: Develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions using integration tools and technologies, such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), middleware, and data integration platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • System Integration Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data integrations to ensure ongoing data quality, integrity, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving integration issues, errors, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Document integration processes, data mappings, configurations, and dependencies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation to support knowledge transfer, compliance, and auditing requirements.

  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, supply chain, finance, and data governance, to understand integration requirements, prioritize integration initiatives, and align integration solutions with business objectives.

  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Develop and execute integration test plans and scripts to validate data mappings, transformations, and workflows, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of integrated data across systems.

  • Change Management and Deployment: Manage change requests, version control, and deployment processes for data integration solutions, coordinating with stakeholders to schedule and execute deployment activities with minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization in data integration workflows, tools, and technologies, and drive initiatives to enhance integration capabilities and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, or related roles, preferably in the agriculture or manufacturing industry.

  • Strong experience in implementing and understanding operations optimization tools

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, or related roles, preferably in the agriculture or manufacturing industry.

  • Being familiar with reporting and data visualization tools as Tableau, Power BI

  • Knowledge of SAP and/or BW and IBP is a plus

  • Knowledge of MS Visual Studio

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entity Framework, Apsx.net and VB technologies

  • Knowledge of machine learning models, data mining, and statistical analysis tools is a plus

  • Knowledge in programming languages such as python, R or ML principles is a plus

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data management best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex data integration challenges and develop effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability and comfort working with large and complex datasets.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.

  • Ability to prioritize work, work under time constraints and under pressure.

  • Ability to work in an office environment and/or travel as required.

  • Ability and experience in a highly international work environment.

  • Ability to influence and motivate across functions and reporting lines.

  • Customer orientation.

  • Fluency in English. One additional relevant language preferred.
