Job Description Summary

The MR Global Surface Coils Lean Leader leads Lean projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and is a recognized expert in the field of Lean. This role will have an important role on the Global Surface Coils leadership team and is responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications and the simplification of business processes across sales & marketing, product, engineering, and operations. Drive efforts to create or improve business processes by utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, Advanced Manufacturing and Digital Solutions across the supply chain and develop solutions that will directly tie to key business deliverables.

Job Description

The Lean Manager is an expert in the Lean principles such as 3P concepts, Problem Solving (using PSP), DMS, VSM, etc., and can coach and train manufacturing site and functions cross-functional teams in LEAN principles and facilitate the LEAN culture transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide overall Lean leadership and simplification to key areas of the business

• Support leadership to execute business vision and strategy and to identify and resolve critical business process gaps and opportunities.

• Work with the operating leaders to develop strategic deployment planning as well as specific goals and priorities that drive lean principles and concept across the business

• Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization

• Improve customer satisfaction by driving and executing project that will increase the say/do ratio

• Communicate progress, status and issues to the business leaders

• Develop platform to share and institutionalize best practices

• Develop and deliver Lean training at all levels of the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in any technical or analytical domain with preference for Engineering and Supply Chain degrees.

• At least 10 years industry experience and at least 4+ additional years of experience in a functional business environment

• Understands Lean toolset with proven results across various functional areas and/or in cross-functional domains. Ability to facilitate and conduct Kaizen events

• Demonstrated leadership, energizing global team and global project management

• Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment

• Lean trained with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor
