Description $15.00 hourly, negotiable depending on experience

POSITION PURPOSE

Stewards will provide assistance to the Chefs, Housekeepers, and Banquet Staff at the Inns of Aurora to ensure a clean and organized loading dock as well as other designated areas. Additionally, they have the responsibility of daily product transportation to various properties.

Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, TASKS

Receive and store all incoming deliveries for various departments in their designated locations

Implement an invoicing system for all departments getting deliveries.

Deliver items to Spa, Bakery, Aurora inn, houses, and any other location as needed

Break down cardboard boxes and ensure they are removed from the premises at least twice daily.

Take out garbage and recycling from loading dock and Banquet kitchen once a day minimum.

Weekly inventory of catering items at all event locations.

Organize event carts and speed rack separating them out for different events.

Demonstrate proper food Safety and sanitation.

Ensure that coolers and freezers are maintained in a well-organized manner

Maintain & clean banquet kitchen work areas and equipment

Removal of garbage in BOH locations and offsite locations

Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Flexibility with hourly schedules, including weekend, holiday, and evening availabilities

Organized and self-motivated

Ability to maintain neat, professional, and clean appearances and practices

Ability to multi-task effectively under fast-paced working conditions

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

NYS Drivers License

PREFERENCES

One or more years restaurant, grocery store or warehouse experience.
