Rush Copley Medical Center Advanced Practice Provider 3 in Aurora, Illinois

General Surgery APP to support inpatient service and provide first assist support for five general surgeons.

Position Summary :

The Advance Practice Provider (APP) will provide all aspects of care including chronic conditions, well care and acute care to patients in a cost effective manner with a focus on quality outcomes. The APP acts as a role model to facilitate and enhance the development of quality nursing care through evidence based practice.

Position Requirements :

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advance Practice Nurse.

  • Masters of Science in Nursing with clinical specialty appropriate to position.

  • Current certification by American Nurse Creditionalling Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner.

  • Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license.

  • Must maintain Copley Memorial Hospital clinical privileges, if applicable

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with 2 years of experience in area of clinical specialty.

  • CPR certification.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Physician Assistant:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant.

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  • Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

  • Must maintain Copley Memorial Hospital clinical privileges, if applicable

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience with 2 years of experience in area of clinical specialty.

  • CPR certification

  • Excellent communication skills.
