We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Publication Writer to join our team. As a Technical Publication Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating comprehensive engineering documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for integration into a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Your expertise in translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our maintenance processe

Essential Duties: Collaborate closely with engineering, maintenance, and subject matter experts to gather information and understand technical processes, systems, and procedures. Create, edit, and maintain a wide range of technical documents, including user manuals, SOPs, maintenance guides, equipment specifications, troubleshooting guides, and more. Translate complex engineering concepts into easily understandable and accessible content for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to industry standards and guidelines in all technical documentation produced. Work closely with maintenance team to incorporate visual aids, diagrams, and illustrations to enhance the clarity and effectiveness of documentation. Develop a deep understanding of the CMMS platform and its functionalities to accurately represent processes and procedures within the system. Revise and update existing documentation to reflect changes in procedures, equipment, or technologies. Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to verify the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all written content. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and ensure that documentation meets the needs of various stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to technical writing and engineering documentation. Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree is acceptable. Equivalent experience is accepted. Strong understanding of engineering concepts, maintenance processes, and standard operating procedures. Proficiency in using authoring tools and content management systems, such as Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and their functionalities is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and adapt to evolving project requirements. Salary of $55,000 to $70,000 with annual bonus potential depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
