Clinical Audiologist

The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking one (1) full-time Audiologist for its Otolaryngology & Audiology practice at the University of Colorado Health (UCHealth) Highlands Ranch Hospital. The qualified candidate will be appointed to the rank of Instructor within the department. As an active member of the Otolaryngology team, the candidate will work closely with ENT physicians in the outpatient setting. This is a unique opportunity to develop and grow a new off-campus site of practice for a successful academic audiology program. This positions will be focused on adult diagnostics, adult amplification, cochlear implants, and vestibular testing.
DUTIES
Work with specialized otolaryngologists in an outpatient setting to treat patients with a specific focus on adult amplification and cochlear implants.
Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, physician assistants, audiology technicians, and support staff, and coordinate care with providers within and outside of the University setting as needed.
Educate and counsel patients, family and /or caregivers regarding treatment recommendations.
Complete patient care documentation as required, including forms for third-party reimbursement, etc.
If applicable, actively participate in research protocols, study development, and manuscript production.
Provide administrative support and thorough follow-up to ensure orderly, effective, and superior patient care. This may include the development and implementation of educational materials or protocols for staff and patients.
Assist in the education of students, residents, nurses, and medical assistants in the field of Audiology.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring rate ( or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $84,000. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
The above salary rate represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
AuD or PhD in Audiology from an accredited institution of education.
Ability to obtain a Colorado license.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
PEFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least three years of clinical experience in a medical setting.
The successful candidate must possess the following competencies:
Demonstrated ability to function both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals.
Willing and able to evaluate and treat patients in a collaborative clinical model working in parallel with otolaryngologists
