Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Outpatient assessment and care of patients with sleep-related complaints and disease
Assisting physicians in the outpatient care of this same patient population
Participation in multi-disciplinary conferences and presentation of patients within these same conferences
Follow-up care: phone follow-up, clinic visits for continuity, medication, and monitoring
Scheduling of evaluations and tests
Engaging and communicating with consulting services
Enrollment and follow-up of patients in clinical trials, where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) training or Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification
Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Colorado
Certified to see adolescents and adults
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year sleep medicine experience
General Internal Medicine knowledge and skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills to interact with multiple medical providers and disciplines
Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills

The Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine is seeking energetic individuals for two (2) full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) positions within the Sleep Center in the Comprehensive Lungs and Breathing (CLB) Program of the University of Colorado Hospital. These positions would hold the title of Instructor of Medicine within the Division of Pulmonary Sciences and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The Division oversees a regionally and internationally recognized referral center for the care of patients with all forms of pulmonary disease and critical illness. The responsibilities would include the assessment and ongoing management of patients with underlying sleep-related disorders. The provider would work closely with the Sleep physicians within the Comprehensive Lung and Breathing Program. The providers would participate in multi-disciplinary conferences for these patients and help gather and present data within these clinics and conferences.

The starting salary range () for this position has been established as $90,000 to $135,000. The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
