Job Overview

Come be a part of our Clinical Nutrition Team! We are an incredible group of clinicians dedicated to providing patient & family centered evidence-based medical nutrition therapy. Our clinical RDs are highly integrated within the multidisciplinary team on the inpatient units and outpatient clinics at Children's Hospital Colorado. Qualifications

EDUCATION - Master's Degree EQUIVALENCY - Bachelor Degree with Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) adhering to the Commission of Dietetic Registration guidelines LICENSURES - Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN)

Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1yr Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Provides nutrition therapy for patients with a variety of diagnosis, in an inpatient or outpatient setting as needed. Incorporates principles of culture-competence and family-centered care into clinical services. Completes written documentation of medical nutrition therapy provided in accordance with department standards for format, content, and time frames. Completes nutrition focused physical exam by evaluating body systems, mid-upper arm circumference, triceps skinfold, muscle, and subcutaneous fat wasting, feeding ability, oral health, skin condition, appetite and affect if applicable for patient care. Provides education and nutri ion counseling to patients and families. Participates in the updating and development of nutrition education materials as needed.
