Job Overview

Pharmacy Technician Associate has a provisional PHAT certification. Works under the direction of certified Pharmacy Technician or a licensed pharmacist to learn the job skills of a pharmacy technician and prepares for PHAT certification exam. This position performs and assists with variety of technical procedures to support hospital pharmacy operations. Fast-paced inpatient pharmacy environment. Core responsibilities of this role include: o Non-sterile and sterile compounding. o Pharmaceutical math calculation proficiency. o Transporting prescriptions and pharmacy equipment (for example, IV's, injectables, etc.) to clinics or nursing floors. o Answer, screen, and triage phone calls. o Help in training new pharmacy technicians. o Help other technicians in the pharmacy. o Repackage bulk medication stock into individually packaged units. o Carry out other duties and responsibilities as directed by the hospital pharmacist or pharmacy leadership. o Communication and collaboration skills.

Department Name: Pharmacy Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits Hours per week: PRN (as needed) Shift: Variable, rotating day and evening shifts weekly as determined by department need. Shift Times: 5:00am-1:30pm, 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month (every 4th weekend), rotation determined by business need and training Holiday Requirement: 2 major holidays per year This position start at $19.00/hour.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - High School Diploma or Equivalent CERTIFICATION - Provisional State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician (PHATP) Certificate or within 30 days of hire
