Skywood Recovery Center is a residential treatment facility offering integrated treatment for addiction and mental health conditions. Skywood Recovery provides individual and group therapy, experiential therapy, equine and art therapy, and yoga. Qualifications

This position is a member of Skywood Recovery's Leadership Team. Providing financial leadership and day-to-day financial management. Other direct responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, general ledger, monthly close, yearly close, financial reporting, budget preparation and FTE management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control accounts receivables. Works closely with Business Office, Utilization Review and Medical Records functions to ensure accurate and timely billing, cash collection goals are met, and net revenue is properly stated.

  • Improve the profitability of the hospital. Continually monitor costs in all areas, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume. Ensure purchasing and other related controls are in place and functioning as intended.

  • Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced hospital operating costs, and increased revenues.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Ensure all required financial reports are accurate and submitted timely.

  • Provide reconciliations, account analysis, and other information for Reimbursement Department, Tax Department, Auditors, etc., to aid in preparation of reports.

  • Prepare annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards. In cooperation with management and department heads, reviews prior financial results and discusses anticipated changes to highlight future needs and trends of the facility.

  • Ensure that the facility obtains and maintains advantageous contracts with all routine vendors, including Employed and Non-employed Physicians, utilizing corporate contracts whenever possible.

  • Ability to function within a senior leadership team of professionals to accomplish the goals of the facility.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to facility leadership team in layman terms.

  • Perform in an Advisor role to the Facility Chief Executive Officer rendering advice on financial operations to assist with the decision making process.

  • Detailed problem solver who can diagnose a problem, design a solution and implement a process with the help of facility departmental leadership.

  • Process oriented person who craves organization and strict adherence to repeatable processes.

  • Ability to provide leadership to teams when the path to achieve desired outcomes is uncertain.

  • Determination to ensure compliance with established financial policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting, master’s degree Preferred

  • Minimum of Three years’ experience in a healthcare environment with progressive experiences in accounting/financial roles referred.

  • Must be highly proficient in Excel.

  • Previous experience with McKesson/ERP, MS4, Kronos or Hyperion preferred but not required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to be physically mobile; however, long periods of sitting will be required.
