Job Description:

The Opportunity:

We have a great team of committed and engaged Techs and Assistants that work incredibly well together with all of the latest analyzers and technology for the best patient results and ease of workflows.

MaineGeneral Health strongly encourages applications from individuals currently enrolled in or recent graduates of accredited Lab Science programs. As a teaching lab, we offer a supportive environment for professional growth. With three remarkable campuses located in the Augusta and Waterville areas, our organization provides a diverse range of experiences and opportunities.

The Work:

  • Performs precise diagnostic/analytic testing and collection of specimens. Interprets, documents, and reports test results.

  • Performs and evaluates quality control testing and executes instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Verifies analytic accuracy, precision, and sensitivity for test methods.

  • Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills when collaborating with laboratory personnel, internal stakeholders, and external customers.

  • Utilizes problem-solving and critical thinking to ensure quality management standards are met.

    You Have:

  • A bachelor's degree or Graduate of an accredited program is required

  • One of the following certifications is strongly preferred within 6 months of hire: Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists- Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist: MLS or MT (ASCP); or Certification by American Medical Technologists - Medical Laboratory Technician: MLT (AMT) or Medical Technologist: MT (AMT)

  • Requires some degree of flexibility, may be assigned to other sites and/or variable hours.

    Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

    Scheduled Work Shift: Evening (United States of America)
