General Description: Performs repairs and overhauls to aircraft components to ensure their safe working condition is achieved in a Type 145 Repair Station that focuses on structural components. This position will also cross-function as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting new manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all repairs, replacements, etc. on all aircraft systems and airframes in a safe and expeditious manner and within FAA and/or manufacturers specifications
  • Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects
  • Assist mechanics and inspection personnel in finding unsafe or potential problems with customers articles. Report errors and do repairs/overhauls as needed
  • Become familiar with all technical publications (maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, etc.)
  • Work and communicate closely with other shop and office personnel to ensure scope of work and schedule are realized
  • Become familiar and proficient with all shop test and maintenance gear
  • Perform all tasks assigned by management in a timely and safe manner
  • Basic to advanced CATIA V5 modeling and analytical skills

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
