**[JOB SUMMARY

[Serve as a Biology Supplemental Instruction Leader for STEM majors on the Augusta campus.

  • Attend the BIOL 1107 and BIOL 1108 courses
  • Tutor STEM majors enrolled in the BIOL 1107 and BIOL 1108 on the Augusta campus
  • Provide update and feedback to the AVP for Academics
  • Other duties as assigned

[KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION ]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • Basic computer skills are needed, including the ability to answer emails and create basic excel spreadsheets.
  • Basic biology concepts from the BIOL 1107 and BIOL 1108 classes
  • The ability to interact with instructors for clarification on desired learning outcomes or material to be covered
  • The ability to be patient with struggling learners
  • Ability to divide attention to more than one student
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to provide good customer service is essential.

[The AVP for Academics and the Augusta ACE Coordinator supervise, and review work through observation for compliance with procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results[.
