Position Description

The Manager, Pharmacy is responsible for appropriate, evidence based medication use for the institution by ensuring patients receive the right dose of the right medication. As a pharmacist, the individual must have a medication safety viewpoint and be in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations (TJC, BOP, CMS, etc.). This role oversees the activities of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other pharmacy personnel if applicable. Aside from clinical care, the Manager Pharmacy must engage in teaching and research as part of the hospital's mission.

Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and 3 years or more of experience in pharmacy supervisor role (supervisor or manager). Excellent presentation skills. Georgia Licensed Pharmacist or eligible for licensure. License required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Requirements

Pharm D. Previous project management skills.
