Power Systems Engineer - Lead - REQ-2024-3837

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess long term transmission system adequacy and reliability. Evaluate and recommend bulk transmission system expansion or enhancement options needed to address the changing resource mix. Collaborate with skilled engineers that perform transmission expansion analysis supporting the development of the Long Term Regional Transmission Expansion Plan.  

Develop and improve Long Term Regional Transmission Planning scenario's, processes, tools and analysis. Support necessary reforms to the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan (RTEP) resulting from FERC rulemaking. Calculate, model and implement system changes for long term Regional Transmission Expansion plan. 

MS or higher in Electrical Engineering and 5 years experience in a regional electric system operator or closely related organization. 

Experience must include large-scale assessments of transmission systems, designing and conducting system needs assessments', integration capability studies, determination of transient stability limits, PSS/E and Python.
