House of Blues Management Accountant - NZ Festivals in Auckland/Aotearoa, New Zealand

Job Summary:

Currently searching for a Management Accountant to join the Live Nation NZ Festivals team in Auckland. Working closely with our Financial Business Partner this role involves preparation of monthly accounts, assisting with forecasts and budgets, month end journals, maintaining accounting records, CAPEX management, Cashflow reporting, oversee AP/AR and supporting the wider Festivals team.

Responsibilities and tasks of the role:

  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Bank reconciliations

  • Month end support including general, accrual and prepayments journals

  • Supporting schedules and workings for all taxes

  • Assisting with internal and external Audit as required

  • Maintaining Fixed Asset Register

  • Oversee the smooth processing of AP & AR

  • Preparation of show settlements

  • Managing Artist Payments Schedules and Withholding Tax requirements

  • Working with promotors/bookers to prepare and track event budgets

  • Assist with monthly forecasts

  • Preparation of cashflows

  • Reconciliation of events including box office and ticket sales.

  • Ad hoc duties as required

Skills Required

  • Highly proficient in excel, work & outlook

  • Ability to work under pressure, in a team & autonomously

  • Ability & willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience/Education Required

  • CA/CPA qualified, or qualified through experience

  • Accounting experience (3+ years)

  • Demonstrated work experience in a similar accounting role with exposure to month end processes.

  • Oracle experience highly regarded

  • Project / festival accounting experience highly regarded
