AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We're seeking a seasoned leader to lead a team focused on driving adoption of AWS within our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) segment. This individual will grow a business focused on helping SaaS ISVs innovate and exceed revenue goals. She/he must have the business acumen and leadership background necessary to effectively add-value to field sellers who bring together cross-functional teams including sales, partner managers, professional services, business development, and product teams to deliver business growth for AWS and our ISV partners.

As a Senior Leader focused on our fast growing ISV customers and partners in New Zealand, you'll have an exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of cloud computing, by building and leading a sales team dedicated to helping ISV partners deliver innovative solutions leveraging leading-edge AWS services.

The right candidate will possess a technology sales and management background that enables them to lead a team of senior sale representatives with engagements at the CXO level. She/he should also be able to effectively engage AWS’ executives to engage in creative proposals and influence roadmap decisions for both AWS and ISV's. To be successful, the candidate needs to be a self-starter, show ownership, and develop a positive relationship with sellers to motivate the team to deliver on revenue targets.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive adoption of AWS’ full suite of services into a set of Strategic ISV customers.

• Exceed annual revenue and growth targets

• Build and manage a high performing team of strategic sales professionals

• Ensure end customer satisfaction

• Co-develop and help executing account plans with field sellers

• Inspect joint-GTM activities to drive and accelerate adoption of our ISV's products, working closely with AWS partner teams

• Work with demand generation teams to create sales pipeline

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of technology related sales experience.

• 5+ years of sales management experience.

• Direct field & management experience in working with commercial accounts.

• Extensive customer network.

• Strong leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience driving revenue and market share in Technology

• History of developing and executing against a global sales plan.

• Work with partners and OEM’s to extend reach & drive adoption of AWS solutions.

• Manage contract negotiations along with the core sales organization.

• Ability to develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
