People * Customers * Trust JOB Summary - Perform maintenance tasks as necessary. Pay is $27.77 - $38.35 depending on experience and upon completion of maintenance training programs. Hours will be Monday through Thursday 7pm-5am. 12 hour shifts and short Friday shifts may be needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED. Good communication skills. Must be able to read at an acceptable level. Must be able to do basic math including multiplication and division. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed. Hours will be night shift, approximately 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM, Monday - Thursday Highly Desirable Skills: Be proficient in electronics, motor repair, VFD, PLC's, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical. Be able to operate general maintenance equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, welders, drills, etc. Perform electrical, mechanical, compressed air, or hydraulic repairs and preventive maintenance. Be able to troubleshoot from reading electric, hydraulic and pneumatic prints. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Work as part of a team of technicians and production personnel in support of a manufacturing operation with goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste. Assist in running production equipment when necessary. Focus on reducing set up time, waste, and increasing throughput. Troubleshooting / maintaining / repairing electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic machines, electric motors, conveyors, etc. May be assigned responsibilities in areas of plumbing, pipefitting, metalworking, carpentry, general mechanics and electricity. Controlling downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance and working closely with operators on keeping machines running at peak operation while maintaining the highest safety standards. Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintaining equipment, parts and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels Work closely with other maintenance mechanics to anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Perform root cause failure analysis to eliminate repeat occurrences on maintenance issues. Troubleshoot using PLC and ladder logic (with training) Help develop a safe culture throughout the facility by practicing safe working techniques and helping others do so as well.
