D&W is seeking a Production Specialist for our Corporate Production Facility in Auburn, New York. This person will be a working lead within the Machining and Welding Departments.Job Responsibilities:•Oversee the activities of the shop to produce quality products, meet customer due dates and specifications•Quote and manage custom jobs•Set up and operate conventional CNC lathes and mills•Fabricate products to meet established quality standards and the requirements of our customers•Determine training required for technicians and complete all associated documentation•Develop cost reduction techniques and continuous improvement methods•Establish and follow maintenance schedules for shop equipment•Work alongside engineering in development of new product and procedures•Provide technical expertise as neededJob Requirements:•Must have a proven ability to lead a team, 5+ years’ experience in shop leadership desired•Must have knowledge of theory and principles of machining and machine shop operations•Associate’s degree from two year college or technical school; 5+ years of machining experience and/or training including CNC programming (preferably conversational) and machining or equivalent combination and experienceD&W Diesel, Inc. is an employee owned, $115 million business with over 350 employees in 8 locations.
