Hillside Family of Agencies General Maintenance II in Auburn, New York

$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS FOR GENERAL MAINTENANCE NEW HIRES!

We are currently hiring for a General Maintenance Technician.

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the General Maintenance Technician performs all duties of a facilities person as well as additional duties requiring technical/mechanical skills in order to improve and maintain the physical plant.

This will be a regular schedule of Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm, with a rotating on-call schedule, that will require flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays to address emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair buildings, including but not limited to painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, windows and doors/locks.

  • Servicing of regular facility maintenance and renovation projects during working hours with a rotating on-call schedule if there are immediate needs during evening/weekend hours

  • Follow up on emergency calls with permanent solutions as needed

  • Have a proactive and self-sufficient work ethic as well as be able to work with the team to succeed in both independent and collaborative environments

  • Assist with general and fire safety inspections

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience with facilities, maintenance, construction, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical

  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license for at least 6 months and meet agency driving standards

  • Please note that a background check will be performed as a condition for employment

    $17.50 Minimum Rate per hour, $25.02 Maximum Rate per hour, based on experience.
