The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to select students with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company’s products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilate acquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains the opportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

Job Requisition Introductory Paragraph:

Nexteer Automotive is excited to offer an engaging opportunity to students pursuing their Bachelor of Business degree in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain. We are on the lookout for energetic individuals with a passion for data analysis who are eager to apply their academic insights to the vibrant automotive industry.

As part of our Global Supply Management (GSM) team, you will play a crucial role in assisting the function track, analyze, access and report out key material metrics that the organization relies on for strategic decision-making. In addition, this position will allow you to gain hands-on exposure to key business strategy and leadership as support for our Chief Procurement Officer.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist GSM financial controller with month-end reporting activities, including consolidating and reporting out global performance information

  • Participate in a variety of financial analysis and special projects

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify their information needs, help streamline business processes, and assist in resolving material metric reporting issues.

  • Assist global purchasing team with monitoring project progress and deadlines

  • Support CPO to prepare global meeting materials and presentations in professional formats with a proactive planning approach.

  • Assist with administrative assistant tasks for CPO in calendar management, travel coordination, and office management.

    Requirements:

  • Pursuing Bachelor of Business in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain

  • Full time student at a 2-year college or 4-year university local to Auburn Hills, MI

  • Candidate must be able to work onsite, in the Auburn Hills office

  • Ability to work 20 - 32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters

  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer

  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Must maintain full time credits (12 credit hours) during fall and winter semesters

  • Candidate must be able to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
